Casio announced two 12-megapixel EXILIM cameras

On Tuesday, Casio announced two 12-megapixel EXILIM cameras, both of which will be able to capture high-definition video at a resolution of 1280-by-720 pixels at 24 frames per second, also known as 720p24.

Almost every camera manufacturer offers cameras that can capture HD video, but only a handful can hit the price point offered by the new EXILIM Zoom EX-Z450, priced at $199.99, and the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z90, to be sold for $149.99.

The main difference between the two models is that the EX-Z450 will feature mechanical image stabilization while the less expensive $149.99 Casio EXILIM Zoom EX-Z90 will not. The $199.99 Casio EXILIM Zoom EX-Z450 will also be equipped with CCD-shift image stabilization which combats image blurring caused by shaky hands, by gently moving the sensor in the opposite direction of the shake.
